The
Kumera Power Transmission Division has significant resources
at its disposal to carry out extensive R & D work within
its field of activity.
All
products fulfill the requirements of international standards
as DIN, ISO and AGMA.
MATERIALS
The
gears and shafts are made from high quality steels. Due
the fact that the essentiality of gear unit is to transmit
the power with the highest possible torque, Kumera pays
attention to selecting also cast materials to do this. The
housings are normally gray cast iron, but in special cases
may be welded construction or nodular cast iron.
TEST RUNS, CHARACTERISTICS OF OPERATION
After
the assembly of the first units, standard or special, all
gears and gear units will be test run. Special attention
is given to the measurements of temperature, noise and vibration.
The lubrication system is checked for optimum operation,
and assurance of oil tightness is of verified. These test
runs can be made with or without load.
