The TEXU disc brake is a spring applied, torque thruster linkage twin caliper disc brake. This twin caliper type disc brake generates zero overhung load or shaft bending moment. The standard version is equipped with automatic lining wear compensation and braking torque is externally adjustable.The release mechanism is by means of electrohydraulic thruster., Optional items such as emergency manual release and limit switches are available. Available switches are for indication of “brake released”, “lining wear limit” or “manual release”.
