Wind Turbine Disc Brakes

The ABT disc brake is a hydraulically applied, spring released, caliper disc brake. The standard version is equipped with organic linings and sinter linings are available for special applications. The braking force is applied by means of an external compact hydraulic power unit. Optional items such as limit switches are available. Available switches are for indication of “brake set”, “brake released”, “lining wear limit” or “manual release”.
