Hydraulically Released Drum Brakes - THi

The THi drum brake is a spring applied, hydraulically released linkage type drum brake. The standard version is equipped with manual lining wear compensation and braking torque is externally adjustable. The release mechanism is by means of hydraulic cylinder and an external compact hydraulic power unit.

Optional items such as automatic lining wear compensation, emergency manual release and limit switches are available. Available switches are for indication of “brake released”, “lining wear limit” or “manual release”.
