The SHI 251 FC is a heavy-duty industrial floating caliper disc brake. It is a hydraulic fail-safe brake, meaning it is spring applied and hydraulically released.

Advantages of this caliper disc brake include its fast response time, high torque output, and ability to used in situations with space constraints. It has an externally adjustable air-gap which provides wide-ranging torque adjustability.

This hydraulic disc brake is often used as a holding or e-stop brake, for example on winches and hoist drums. As a safety brake, it’s designed for braking on the output shaft. When compared to a comparable fixed caliper brake, floating caliper brakes are ideal for situations with lateral space constraints.

Hindon provides comprehensive support for SHI FC models including repair services and full engineering and technical support.
